Legals

If your application for membership is successful, you will be issued with a Certificate of Membership.

Once a member of the Mutual, you have the right to apply for discretionary protection for the areas of risk that are most relevant to your needs. Capricorn Mutual offers both business and personal protections.

If your application for protection is granted you will be issued with a Schedule of Protection that sets out the protection granted and the basis on which you have the right to apply to the Board for assistance.

To apply for membership and protections you should carefully read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). It is important that you download each part so that you have a complete PDS.

The PDS consists of several documents that include the Constitution, the Rules, and an overview of how Capricorn Mutual operates and the nature of the discretionary benefits as well as the protection wordings for the Business and Personal Protections. Each of the documents when combined together form the PDS, so it is important that you read each part.

The PDS is an important legal document that has been designed to help you understand how Capricorn Mutual operates and the nature of the protections it offers.

The protections set out in the PDS are subject to the Rules of Capricorn Mutual and to the limits, excesses and any other limitation specified in the Certificate of Membership and Schedule of Protection issued by the Mutual.

General Advice Warning

The PDS and the other general advice provided on Capricorn Mutual's website has been prepared without taking into account your needs, objectives or financial situation. You should read the PDS and consider your own needs and objectives before making any decisions to join Capricorn Mutual or to acquire the protections it offers.
