Capricorn Mutual is a vessel where members can protect their assets against unforseen losses.
When the probability of an event occurring is very high, and a local warning is issued about an imminent weather pattern, flood, hail, earthquake, bush fire etc., Capricorn Mutual has a responsibility to its whole membership base to place an embargo on accepting any new risks in those zones until the event has passed.
In keeping with the above no new business to be accepted within 100km radius of Christchurch NZ, and also in the Canterbury region until further notice.
